COVINGTON, Ky. — Coppin's Restaurant and Bar, located inside Hotel Covington, has temporarily closed after an employee tested positive for coronavirus, the hotel announced on social media Friday.
"Out of an abundance of caution, Coppin’s will be closed until we feel it safe for our employees and guests to return," their statement read.
Employees have been notified of the positive test, which the restaurant learned about on Friday. Those employees will remain at home and are encouraged to take a COVID-19 test.
"We have worked diligently to maintain safety protocols at Coppin’s at Hotel Covington and will use this time to implement additional sanitizing and deep cleaning procedures," hotel officials wrote. "Thank you for your support and understanding. We look forward to welcoming you back soon."
