NEWPORT, Ky. — In an announcement on their Facebook page, the City of Newport declared that they will not participate in Riverfest in 2020.
Citing restrictions from the COVID-19 outbreak and other logistical issues, the City of Newport said they will not be issuing any city-associated permits or licenses.
The Tri-State's largest fireworks display, scheduled to take place on Sept. 6, is listed as TBD on the area's regional tourism website.
