CINCINNATI — One local organization is working to show their support to frontline workers by making sure that their children have some new sneakers.

Every year, Bigger Than Sneakers hosts the Cincinnati Sneakerball to support children in the Tri-State. Tammie Scott, the co-founder of Bigger Than Sneakers who also owns the Downtown wine and jazz bar Nostalgia, saw how hard frontline workers were impacted by the pandemic and decided to try and help their families.

Natalie Morean, executive director of Bigger Than Sneakers, said this year the organization wanted to get a brand new pair of sneakers to children of frontline workers.

"We want to be the organization that's on the front line, you know, servicing our community, because it's an organization we understand," Morean said. "If you empower and inspire the leaders of tomorrow, you know, we're pouring into the next generation.”

If you know a family that could use some new pairs of sneakers, you can nominate the family here. Bigger Than Sneakers also accepts shoe donations to help support their cause.
