ANDERSON TOWNSHIP, Ohio — After a year of ups and downs, at least one thing has stayed the same: the Anderson Township Stuff the Medic Unit Toy Drive is back for the holidays.

This is the second year for the toy drive, and Doug Egan, an Anderson Twp. firefighter and paramedic, said the first year was better than they could have hoped for.

"Last year was beyond our expectations," Egan said. "We had over 800 toy donations."

The donations stay in the community too. Once the toy drive ends, the toys go to local interparish ministries and 9 United.

"It's been a hard year for a lot of people," Egan said. "Being able to do this to get the toys out to the community, definitely going to, hopefully help end the year on a good note."
