Health officials announced the first coronavirus-related death in Franklin County, Indiana, Wednesday afternoon.
Franklin County Health Officials said the victim was a man in his 60s who had been in the care of doctors at an Indiana hospital since March 13.
Officials will not release any further information about the patient. Hospital staff notified the health department of the death on Wednesday.
Statewide, 477 people have tested positive for COVID-19, and there have been 14 virus-related deaths.
