Maribel Trujillo, a Mexican woman and mother of four children -- all of whom are United States citizens -- is being deported to Mexico after ICE agents detained her.
Trujillo came to the United States illegally to flee from drug cartels who targeted her family. The federal government granted her a temporary work permit last July, but ICE officials swept her up this month.
Despite pleas from community members and religious officials to ICE and politicians such as U.S. Sen. Rob Portman, Trujillo -- a mother who does not pose any threat to U.S. citizens -- is being torn away from her family.
