EDITORIAL CARTOON: The obvious reason

Posted

When Cincinnati police officer Kevin Brown used a Taser to subdue an 11-year-old girl who was shoplifting from a Kroger, he made an astute observation. After zapping the girl, Brown told her that shoplifters such as her was "why there aren't any grocery stores in the black community." Obviously, the threat of having goods stolen is the real reason why black and other impoverished communities find themselves in food deserts, right?
