Listen: Democracy and voting are just the tops, but the glut of campaign advertising that always accompanies our elections can make anyone rethink our decision to cast off the English monarchy.
Commercials flood our airwaves while billboards and signs dot our roadways and lawns, but perhaps most annoying of all are the campaign flyers.
I get it. I do. You want people to vote for you or your issue. However, I weep for the forests of trees that must have died so your glossy, over-sized, four-color campaign flyer could end up in my recycling bin. With so many other avenues of reaching people, maybe it's time to trash flyers for good.
