Hillary Clinton's running mate, Virginia Sen. Tim Kaine, and Donald Trump's pick, Indiana Gov. Mike Pence, squared off Tuesday during their one and only vice presidential debate.
Kaine listed off a litany of insulting things Trump has said about, well, everybody, while Pence grimaced, shook his head and insisted Trump had nary spoken (or tweeted) a mean word in his life. Pence, on the other hand, was often interrupted by Kaine, and insisted Clinton's entire campaign was focused around insults at Trump and his voting base.
The moderator, CBS reporter Elaine Quijano, tried to ask questions on current topics -- ISIL, the economy and Iran, among others -- but who knows if the nominees even heard her.
