Sorry, no more "Free Pie Wednesday" for folks living in West Chester, Ohio.
O'Charley's, the Nashville-based sit down restaurant chain, closed its Tylersville Road restaurant suddenly over the 4th of July weekend, citing poor sales.
The chain has just closed more than 8 restaurants in the midwest region, including 2 in Indianapolis, according to MoneyWise.com,and our partners at the Hamilton Journal News.
This is the latest chain to slim down its portfolio, the report says, due to a glut of chain restaurants and slipping sales.
The good news for fans: O'Charley's Middletown, Springdale, Deerfield Twp., Milford, Union Twp (Eastgate). and Dayton Ohio locations will remain open, and still offer the chain's famous southern cooking.
This comes after Steak 'n Shake shut almost a dozen Cincinnati-area restaurants, though it hopes to re-open many of them with new franchise partnerships.
However, the closed Steak 'n Shake on Tylersville Road in West Chester (near the closed O-Charley's) will not be among those re-opening: a wrecking ball has just torn it down, apparently to build a car wash according to signs on the site.
As always, don't waste your money.
