CINCINNATI -- It's possible to get a good-paying job without having a college diploma.
Duke Energy is looking to hire lineworkers and groundspersons, jobs that construct and maintain Duke's infrastructure and restore power when it goes out. Pay starts at $22 an hour.
No prior experience is needed; Duke provides training.
The job requires applicants to pass a drug and alcohol screening. Applicants must also been at least 18 years old and have a valid driver's license. A high school diploma or GED is required.
Duke is holding information sessions at 6 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday. The sessions will be at the Urban League of Greater Southwestern Ohio, 3458 Reading Road, Cincinnati.
Organizers expect a large crowd and ask that attendees arrive early.
