The Cincinnati Gardens will always be marked by its rich history hosting big names in sports and entertainment. It hosted The Beatles, The Stones, an NBA All-Star game and presidential rallies, and much more.
This place was also a haven for Cincinnati's hockey enthusiasts -- from squirt leagues to learn-to-skate programs to high school and college hockey to adult broomball.
The Gardens was home rink for four high school hockey teams; all rivals, but next-locker room-door neighbors.
Players, parents and coaches spent a (scorching) weekend cleaning out locker rooms, closets, trophy cases and penalty boxes in preparation of the Gardens' looming demolition.
These are some of the last photos taken inside the Cincinnati Gardens before it was closed by the Port Authority to prepare for demolition.
