COVINGTON, Ky. — A well known Tri-State brewery will start to offer a new line of hard seltzers for their customers soon.

Covington's Braxton Brewing Company will start selling their own hard seltzer, called Vive Hard Seltzer, in early 2019. The drink will be available in four flavors; mango, lime, dragonfruit and grapefruit.

"To be first to market with a local hard seltzer speaks wonders about our team’s commitment and passion for innovation," Jake Rouse, co-founder and CEO of Braxton Brewing Company, said. "We had a long talk with our team about this move and couldn't be more thrilled to bring to life a brand that celebrates the passion and craft that we bring to our beer every day to Vive."

Vive will be sold in slim, 12 oz. cans in packs of six or 12. Each drink will have 100 calories, 2 grams of carbohydrates and be gluten free, offering a healthier choice for people who want to have an alcoholic beverage without all the empty-calories.

“Working on the Vive Hard Seltzer product has been both challenging and rewarding," Evan Rouse, co-founder and chief product officer of Braxton Brewing Company, said. "When opening Braxton, I never thought we would be making a move into the FMB bev-alc category, but I am extremely excited we have decided to explore this sector.”
