New Year's Eve 2018: Here's where to ring in 2019

CINCINNATI — Say goodbye to 2018 and hello to the new year with these local parties and events.

First Midnight: 9 p.m.-2 a.m. Dec. 31. 3 Points Urban Brewery, 331 E. 13th St., Pendleton. $100.

Ring in the new year at one of Cincinnati's newest breweries. Three Points Urban Brewery's First Midnight party will include DJs, live art, late-night snacks, projection visuals on walls and a Champagne toast at midnight courtesy of Wine Society. The brewery also will serve a special run of its kettle sour, Magic Wand, with glitter in it. The price of admission also includes 10 drink tickets.

MadTree New Year's Eve: 8 p.m.-2 a.m. Dec. 31. MadTree Taproom, 3301 Madison Road, Oakley. $50 early bird; $70 general admission; $2,000 VIP.

MadTree’s second annual New Year’s Eve celebration will bring more beer, bands and balloons. The brewery will transform the taproom, beer garden and barrel warehouse for this year’s ticketed event. Early bird (the first 100 tickets sold) and general admission include a complimentary drink of choice (beer, wine or liquor), complimentary Champagne toast, appetizers from Catch-a-Fire Café, a midnight breakfast buffet, photosphere photo booth, live Twitter/Instagram feed and access to all featured entertainment. There also will be a beer, wine and liquor cash bar. The VIP package includes all of the above plus a private VIP lounge area for up to 10 guests, one complimentary drink of choice and complimentary Champagne toast per guest, two complimentary bottles of liquor (choice of Bulleit Bourbon or Tito's Vodka) with mixers, MadTree gift bags, private in-room bar service and a specialty private VIP buffet.

New Year's Eve at Higher Gravity: 8 p.m.-1:30 a.m. Higher Gravity, 4106 Hamilton Ave., Northside. $95. Ages 21 and older.

Back by popular demand, Higher Gravity will host a private party to ring in the new year. For this ticketed event, guests will be able to enjoy everything on draft, select local cans, a Champagne or beer toast at midnight, Tito's Vodka and Bulleit Bourbon, two specialty cocktails and retail pricing on any other bottles or cans and food.

Taft's Brewing Co. New Year's Eve Disco Ball: 7 p.m.-1 a.m. Dec. 31. Taft's Ale House, 1429 Race St., Over-the-Rhine. $100 seated dinner; $50 standing room.

The New Year's Eve party at Taft's will feature an LED disco dance floor, DJ, hourly raffle prizes, indoor midnight disco ball drop, dark rave hour, photo booth and a grand prize of a free large pizza every week for all of 2019 at Taft’s Brewpourium Apizza.

FUNK OFF 2018: 9 p.m.-1 a.m. Dec. 31. Urban Artifact, 1660 Blue Rock St., Northside. Free. Say goodbye to 2018 with some funk music and Urban Artifact beers.

NYE 2019: 8 p.m.-2 a.m. Dec. 31. Rhinegeist, 1910 Elm St., Over-the-Rhine. $20.

Rhinegeist will be painting the town black and white this New Year's Eve with its film noir fantasy-themed party. Beer, wine and cocktails will be served all night long as DJ Matt Joy plays in the taproom and Jess Lamb & the Factory perform in the event space lounge. There also will be a themed photo booth and midnight balloon drop.

New Year's and Chill with March First Brewing: 8 p.m.-1 a.m. Dec. 31. March First Brewing, 7885 E. Kemper Road, Sycamore Township. $75.

Looking for the perfect laid back New Year's Party? March First Brewing and Distilling has you covered with its New Year's and Chill event. The party includes an open bar for beer, cider, hard seltzer, mixed drinks and wine. There will be unlimited pizza as well. Each guest will also go home with a Voltage Vodka gift basket complete with a bottle and swag.

Confuse Reality with Its Replica NYE: 9 p.m.-1 a.m. Dec. 31. 21c Museum Hotel, 609 Walnut St., Downtown. $35.

Confuse reality by ringing in 2019 like its 1920 during this Great Gatsby-inspired party at the 21c Museum Hotel. Admission includes music by Planet Venus and dance led by the Pones. A portion of your ticket price will go to support Mortar, an organization that helps build on Cincinnati's growing success by focusing on areas that might be overlooked.

All that Glitter's New Year's Eve Party: 9 p.m.-2 a.m. Dec. 31. Hotel Covington, 638 Madison Ave., Covington. 21 and older. $25-$250.

Ring in the new year in style at Hotel Covington. The party includes food, drink and music. VIP packages including a four-course meal are available as well.

New Year's Eve Blast: 8 p.m.-1 a.m. Dec. 31. Fountain Square, 520 Vine St., Downtown. Free.

Mix 94.9 will help host this annual family-friendly New Year's Eve bash on Fountain Square. Join thousands of your fellow Cincinnatians as they dance the night away, grab some food and participate in goofy games on the Fountain Square stage and rink. And stick around to welcome 2019 with a fireworks show when the clock strikes midnight.

The White and Ice Affair: 9 p.m.-1 a.m. Dec. 31. Memorial Hall OTR, 1225 Elm St., Over-the-Rhine. $35-$115.

The Glam Gods Event Management Firm will host the ultimate New Year's Eve party at Memorial Hall. The evening will include a fashion show, live entertainment, a DJ for the after-party, a surprise giveaway, light bites and New Year's Champagne toast. This event will benefit the Women's Fund of the Greater Cincinnati Foundation.

A Classic, Elegant New Year's Eve Celebration: 4:30 p.m.-12:30 a.m. Trotta's Steak and Seafood, 441 Sixth Ave., Dayton, Kentucky.

Enjoy a great meal and music by Jonathan Carisle. Reservations are recommended.

Q102's New Year's Eve Party at the Newport Syndicate: 6:30 p.m.-1 a.m. Dec. 31. Newport Syndicate, 18 E. Fifth St., Newport. $150 Flamingo VIP; $125 Ballroom; $110 Ambassador Room; $85 Gangsters Piano Bar. Ages 21 and older.

Q102's (WKRQ) annual New Year's Eve party will be at the Syndicate again this year. All packages include bar, late-night nachos and three forms of entertainment.

New Year's Eve Party at Vinoklet Winery: 6:15 p.m.-12:30 a.m. Dec. 31. Vinoklet Winery, Restaurant & Vineyard, 11069 Colerain Ave., Colerain Township. $77.20. Ages 21 and older. Every year Vinoklet throws a fantastic New Year’s Eve party. The evening will include music by DJ Dave King, wine, beer, dancing, party favors, late evening hors d'oeuvres, a Champagne toast at midnight and delicious dinner.

'Carnival' New Year's Eve: 10 p.m.-2 a.m. Dec. 31. Hilton Netherland Plaza, 35 W. Fifth St., Downtown.

Inspired by the Carnivals of South America and the Caribbean, this will be one of the hottest NYE parties in Cincinnati. Carnival attire/costume is encouraged. The best-dressed Carnival-themed couple will win a grand tasting for two with wine pairings at Orchids. The evening will include a DJ, midnight toast, open lounge seating, hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar.

NYE at QCE: 9 p.m.-2 a.m. Dec. 31. Queen City Exchange, 32 W. Court St., Downtown. $100. Ages 21 and older.

Mount Adams Pavilion's New Year's Eve Ball: 9 p.m.-2:30 a.m. Dec. 31. Mount Adams Pavilion, 949 Pavilion St., Mount Adams. $45. Ages 21 and older.

Attend a ball, and have a ball. Count down to the ball drop at Mount Adams Pavilion. The evening will include photo ops, DJs, a midnight Champagne toast, party favors and food.

New Year's Eve at The Stretch: 8 p.m.-2:30 a.m. Dec. 31. The Stretch, 191 E. Freedom Way, Downtown. $25. Ages 21 and older.

Enjoy party favors, guaranteed admission, a donut bar, Champagne toast at midnight and DJ.

New Year's Eve party at Jack Casino: 9 p.m.-2 a.m. Dec. 31. $25. Ages 21 and older.

Jack Casino’s New Year’s Eve celebrations will be bigger and better than ever. The casino will host two different parties, live entertainment, dining options and a chance to win a share of more than $30,000 in cash and prizes.

New Year's Eve Bash: 8 p.m.-2 a.m. Dec. 31. Tin Roof, 160 E. Freedom Way, Downtown. $25-$600. Ages 21 and older.

There will be live music from the Flip Cup All-Stars, drinks and good times at the Tin Roof.

Fortieth Annual NYE Celebration: 7 p.m.-2:30 a.m. Dec. 31. Bobby Mackey's, 44 Licking Pike, Wilder. $12. Ages 21 and older.

Help Bobby Mackey's celebrate its 40th anniversary on New Year's Eve with live music, bull rides, ghost tours, line dancing and karaoke in between bands.

A Neighborhood NYE at Rosedale: 8 p.m.-2:30 a.m. Dec. 31. Rosedale OTR, 208 E. 12th St., Over-the-Rhine.

Rosedale OTR welcomes everyone to a "Neighborhood New Year's Eve." Give 2018 the sendoff it deserves and welcome 2019 with an enthusiastic toast. Half-price happy hour will run from 9-11 p.m., and DJ Slick Nick will be on the turntables.

New Year's Eve 2019: 9 p.m. Dec. 31. Energy Nightclub, 700 W. Pete Rose Way, Downtown. $15 for those ages 21 and older; $20 for those ages 18-21. Ages 18 and older only.

There will be live music, complimentary appetizers before 11 p.m. and party favors.

No Tickets, No Plans, No Problem NYE: 8 p.m.-2:30 a.m. Dec. 31. The Righteous Room, 641 Walnut St., Downtown. Ages 21 and older.

Avoid the hassle of making New Year's Eve plans and just show up to the Righteous Room before the ball drops. No reservation required. A cover charge of $10 kicks in at 11 p.m. The bar will serve $10 glasses of Champagne and $50 bottles.

The Hanky Panks New Year's Eve at MLT: 10 p.m.-2 a.m. Dec. 31. Mount Lookout Tavern, 3209 Linwood Ave., Mount Lookout.

Take in some live music and perhaps a few shots of Fireball during Mount Lookout Tavern's New Year's Eve party.

New Year's Eve Big Bash: 9 p.m.-1 a.m. Dec. 31. Topgolf, 9568 Water Front Drive, West Chester Township. $250 general admission bay; $450 VIP bay.

Swing in the new year by working on your golf game at Topgolf. General admission bay prices will grant up to six guests unlimited Topgolf game play and party favors. Food and beverages are not included in this package. VIP reservations also will allow up to six guests unlimited play, plus exclusive access to the Signature Event Room for a premium buffet, a bottle of sparkling wine, party favors and unlimited fountain soda, coffee and tea.

NYE Pre-Party at Low Spark: 9 p.m.-2 a.m. Dec. 31. Low Spark, 15 W. 14th St., Over-the-Rhine.

Take a chill approach to welcome the new year at Low Spark. This OTR bar will offer $3 select shots from 9-11 p.m., and Nicolas Feuillatte Champagne will be available for $40 per bottle or $10 by the glass.

Welcome in 2019 with music, food and drinks.

New Year's Eve 2019 at the Madison: 8 p.m.-1 a.m. Dec. 31. The Madison Event Center, 700 Madison Ave., Covington. $100 general admission; $150 VIP. Ages 21 and older.

New Year’s Eve at The Madison Event Center will be hosted by B105 this year. The party will include drinks, appetizers and a midnight snack. Music will be provided by DJ L-Train, DJ Fuseamania and DJ Karnyge & the Touchables. VIP tickets include a full dinner and top-shelf liquor.

NYE at Paul Brown Stadium: 8 p.m.-1 a.m. Dec. 31. Paul Brown Stadium, 1 Paul Brown Stadium, Downtown. $125 general admission; $175 VIP.

Ring in the new year inside the Club East Area of Paul Brown Stadium with a premium open bar, two DJs, photo booth and roaming photographer. Top Cat's New Year's Eve music lineup includes performances by Ernie Johnson from Detroit, Bit Flip, The Harlequins and Henry Sugar. Aerial artists Elevated Aerials also will be there.

Happy ZOO Year: 5-9 p.m. Dec. 31. Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden, 3400 Vine St., Avondale. $17 adults; $11 children and seniors.

“Party Animals” of all ages are invited to ring in the new year at the zoo during the 10th annual Happy ZOO Year. Activities will include shows of "Winter Wonders" by Madcap Puppets and a meet-and-greet with Father Time and Baby ZOO Year. The zoo will cap off all celebrations with an early countdown with fireworks presented by Rozzi Fireworks.

Ring in the new year with the Cincinnati Cyclones during a special New Year's Eve game and indoor fireworks display. The Cyclones' NYE Fireworks Night has a special start time of 6:05 p.m. to make sure your little ones can watch the game, the fireworks display and still make it home for bedtime.
