CINCINNATI -- The Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra is nominated for two Grammy awards, according to its website.

The CSO and Music Director Louis Langree's live recording Concertos for Orchestra was nominated for Best Orchestral Performance and Best Contemporary Classical Composition, according to the CSO's website.

The nominated piece was recorded at Music Hall in Nov. 2015 and May 2016.

"These nominations are a testament to both the quality and commitment of the CSO’s musicianship," Langree said in a news release. “I am so proud of our collective family, every one of whom played a critical role in making this project possible. Bravo to every musician of the Orchestra who played on this recording, every staff member who helped produce it, and every donor who supported the commissions and the recording."

Elaine Martone of Sonarc Music Recording produced the recording and Chelsea Crutcher of Cincinnati Public Radio engineered the recording.

CET produced a three-part "behind the scenes" documentary about the Concertos for Orchestra project. You can watch it here.
