CINCINNATI — Before they took the U.S. Bank Arena stage Wednesday night to deliver a slate of dark heavy-metal hits about war, insanity and the ruinous power of fame, Metallica took time to do something — well — nice!
The band donated $10,000 to Freestore Foodbank, which fights poverty and food insecurity by serving millions of free meals throughout the Greater Cincinnati community each year.

The donation came through All Within My Hands, a foundation established by Metallica in 2017 and “dedicated to creating sustainable communities by supporting workforce education, the fight against hunger and other critical local services.”
