'Star Trek' alum William Shatner to discuss 'Wrath of Khan' at the Taft Theatre

CINCINNATI – Trekkies, get ready to spend an evening with Capt. James T. Kirk in the Queen City.

Actor William Shatner, who played the brash leader of the U.S.S. Enterprise in the science fiction franchise "Star Trek," will come to the Taft Theatre at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 22. 

Shatner will participate in a question-and-answer session after a screening of "Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan" at the Taft. He also will share stories from his time portraying Kirk and working with fellow "Star Trek" cast members. 

Reserved-seating tickets for the evening cost between $42-$72 and will go on sale at 11 a.m. Friday. The Taft also will sell a limited number of VIP tickets, which include premium seating and a photo opportunity with the actor.

Shatner portrayed the iconic Capt. Kirk in the science fiction television series from 1966 to 1969. He reprised the role in seven major motion pictures.
