Cincinnati Ballet’s 'The Nutcracker'

Once again, the Cincinnati Ballet brings the timeless tale of Clara and the Nutcracker Prince to life just in time for Christmas. What makes this season's performance of "The Nutcracker" even more special is its return to Music Hall's Springer Auditorium for the first time in 11 years. Performances begin Thursday and continue through Christmas Eve.

98 Degrees at Christmas

98 Degrees has been melting hearts for years. Members Drew and Nick Lachey touched even more hearts when they announced the group would perform a second show this Friday to benefit Ellie Richardson, the Lachey's Bar employee shot on Thanksgiving. Proceeds from the 4 p.m. performance will help Richardson, and the group will then perform its previously scheduled show at 8 p.m. Friday. Both performances will feature new music from 98 Degree's new holiday album, "Let It Snow."

Walk on Woodburn

A stroll down Woodburn Avenue in East Walnut Hills is one of the best ways to end the work week. During Friday's Walk on Woodburn, businesses such as Manifest Art Gallery, Mardi Gras on Madison and O Pie O will offer special deals, and the St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church will offer tours.

City Flea Holiday Market

The final City Flea of the year should make spirits bright this Saturday. The special evening edition of the urban outdoor flea market in Washington Park will be decked out in lights. Local vendors will sell their wares and offer a great chance to find unique holiday gifts.

Rabbit Hash Christmas Parade  

This is definitely one of the most fun holiday events in the region. Anyone is welcome to participate in the sixth annual Rabbit Hash Christmas Parade. Participants just need to gather in their best holiday attire at 3:30 p.m. Saturday for the parade, which starts at 4 p.m. Following a stroll down Lower River Road, Cadillac and Catfish will play music as everyone enjoys a potluck dinner inside the Rabbit Hash General Store.

Egg Nog Jog

Need to make some room after weeks of eating and drinking? Then run or walk your way through scenic Mount Adams during the 26th annual Egg Nog Jog 5K. Prizes will be awarded to the fastest runners in multiple categories, and a portion of your registration fee will be donated to a local food pantry.

Ugly Sweater Holiday Party

Wear that ugly holiday sweater to Taft's Brewpourium this Saturday and be rewarded. The brewery is offering $5 off the price of any large specialty pizza to anyone rocking an ugly sweater. There also will be drink specials the entire evening.

Christmas Hop Party with Santa Claus

Bring your kids to meet jolly old St. Nick at Fretboard Brewing Co. this Sunday. The brewery will have crafts and games for little ones, as well as craft beer on tap for Mom and Dad. Santa is also asking people to donate to the Cincinnati Shriners Children's Hospital during the event.
