CINCINNATI – A staple of Over-the-Rhine's culinary scene is closed for good.
"It is with a heavy heart that I share the news that The Anchor is now closed for business," wrote Chef Derek dos Anjos on the restaurant's Facebook page Monday.
The Anchor opened seven years ago at 1401 Race St. in Over-the-Rhine near Washington Park with a menu that focused on fresh sea food.
Anjos acknowledged the hard work of the Anchor's staff, past and present, whom he wrote made the restaurant "a special place along the way."
