CINCINNATI — Taglio Bar and Pizzeria will add a second location when it opens in Over-the-Rhine this spring.

The owners of the Detroit-style pizzeria in Columbia Tusculum will open Taglio's new location inside the former Lachey's Bar at 56 E. 12th St. Cincinnati natives and 98 Degree stars Nick and Drew Lachey closed the bar named after them last February.

Brothers Nicolas and Jared Wayne and Jake Goodwin opened the first Taglio in March 2016 at 3531 Columbia Pkwy. Last year they added an additional 70 seats to the location.

The business partners opened their first restaurant A Tavola Trattoria on Vine Street in Over-the-Rhine in 2011. They rented the space for A Tavola Trattoria from nonprofit developer 3CDC, which also owns the building the new Taglio will occupy.

In an email, Nicolas Wayne wrote that Taglio's 4,080-square-foot space in Over-the-Rhine will seat more than 100 people and have a separate space for private events.

Like the original Taglio, the new pizzeria will also offer carry-out and delivery services, which also include beer and wine.

"We are keeping the large bar just adding our own touches and details," Wayne added. "OTR is appealing to us because of the continued renaissance and the ability to expand our delivery footprint and serve the Downtown community."

The new location will also offer late-night slices. Wayne could not provide an exact date for when the new location would open.
