CINCINNATI — Carry-out restaurants offering pizza and wings will see a lot more orders on Super Bowl Sunday as the New England Patriots take on the Los Angeles Rams.
But for those who don't want to stay at home for the big game, local bars and breweries have you covered. That's why I've created the following list of some of the best spots to watch Super Bowl LIII.
DOWNTOWN
Super Bowl Bash 53: 6:30 p.m.-midnight Sunday. The Birdcage, 927 Race St., Downtown. This LGBQT nightclub will be serving buckets of beer and snack food while the game plays on the bar's multiple televisions.
Big Game Watch Party: 6-9 p.m. Sunday. The Tin Roof, 160 E. Freedom Way, Downtown. The Tin Roof will be offering five-for-$13 buckets of Bud Light and half-priced nachos during the game.
Super Bucket Sunday: 3-10 p.m. Sunday. Street City Pub, 580 Walnut St., Downtown. One of the newest Downtown bars, Street City Pub will be offering $12 buckets of domestic beer bottles, buckets of wings and buckets of "Irish Nachos."
NORTH
Super Bowl Potluck: 6-11 p.m. Sunday. Higher Gravity, 4016 Hamilton Ave., Northside. The folks at Higher Gravity in Northside will be serving up some "world famous chili" and some wings for everyone to enjoy. They are also asking folks to bring a dish to share. Of course, there will also be plenty of delicious craft beers on tap too.
Super Bowl Watch Party: 5-9 p.m. Sunday. Mecklenburg Gardens, 302 E. University Ave., Corryville. $20 adult general admission; $10 children 10 and under general admission. Mecklenburg will be serving a buffet of chicken wings, hanky-panky dip, sauerkraut balls, vegetable tray with dip, sausage samplers, pretzels with beer cheese, fried pickles and Saratoga chips with barbecue sauce. There will also be three-liter beer tours for $25, one-liter beers for $10 and $10 buckets for sale.
Super Sunday Party: 4-10 p.m. Sunday. Wiedemann's Fine Beer, 4811 Vine St., Saint Bernard. Wiedemann will kick off Super Bowl Sunday with a pre-game Tecmo Super Bowl Tournament and offer game-day menu specials as well.
Super Bowl Sunday at OK+B: 3-11 p.m. Sunday. Overlook Kitchen + Bar, 5345 Medpace Way, Madisonville. The Overlook Kitchen will be offering $4 select promotional beers from Fifty West, Braxton and MadTree; $7 Bloody Marys; $10 beer flights of Nut Brown Ale, Juicy Jubilee IPA and Hot Chocolate Stout; $7 Jack and Cokes; $12 buckets of domestic beer; and food specials during the game.
Super Bowl: 5-11 p.m. Sunday. 3 Points Urban Brewery, 331 E. 13th St., Pendleton. Skip the hassle of hosting a Super Bowl party by reserving a table and bringing your own food to 3 Points Urban Brewery. The game will be playing on 3 Point's giant media wall. You can reserve a table for free by emailing info@3pointsbeer.com.
EAST
Super Bowl House Party: 5-11 p.m. Sunday. The Hi-Mark, 3229 Riverside Drive, East End. The Hi-Mark will be offering happy hour specials, complimentary snacks and can accomodate giant orders of wings (60-120 count). You can even contact the bar in advance to reserve space for you and your friends.
WEST
Super Bowl Party + Squares: 4-11 p.m. Sunday. West Side Brewing, 3044 Harrison Ave., Westwood. West Side Brewing will be selling $4 pints of its beer from the end of the National Anthem to the end of the game. The brewery will also be giving out 100 Super Bowl squares. Squares will be given out for each pint of West Side beer purchased after 3 p.m. Gift cards will then be given out to the winning square each quarter of the game. Food will be available as well.
Super Bowl Sunday: Noon-10 p.m. Sunday. 13 Below Brewery, 7391 Forbes Road, Sayler Park. Come enjoy a pint at 13 Below Brewery and food specials from SEA Cuisine from 5-9 p.m. game day. And if you can't stay in the taproom, the brewery will fill your growler for where every you are going to watch the game for only $13.
SOUTH
Big Game Watch Party 2019: 5-11 p.m. Sunday. Dave & Buster's, 781 Heights Blvd., Florence. $15 VIP table seating. Enjoy the big game while playing games at Dave & Buster's watch party. The VIP Table Seating package includes a $10 Power Card plus one seat at a VIP table in the restaurant's Sports Lounge, which is surrounded by giant viewing screens for a 360 degree view of the game.
The BIG Game At ABC: 5-10 p.m. Sunday. Alexandria Brewing Co., 7926 Alexandria Pike, Alexandria. Alexandria Brewing Co. will be offering $1 off of its Samhain of My Soul and All In American Blonde Ale during the game. Four Mile Pig will also offers food specials.
Super Sunday Dine & Dash: 11 a.m.-11 p.m. Sunday. Drake's, 6805 Houston Road, Florence. Drake's in Florence will be selling half-price beer towers for the big game. They'll also be giving away $25 gift certificates that can be redeemed at a later date for every dine-in or take-out purchase of $25 or more made that day.
