Pho Lang Thang opening new Over-the-Rhine location on Wednesday

CINCINNATI — A Findlay Market favorite will open a new spot in Over-the-Rhine this Wednesday.

The operating partners of Lang Thang Group announced on Tuesday that their original Vietnamese restaurant, Pho Lang Thang will start serving food from it new 1828 Race St. location in Over-the-Rhine at 11 a.m.

The restaurant will then temporarily operate from 11 a.m.- 10 p.m. Tuesday-Thursday, 11 a.m.-11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Sunday. It will be closed on Monday for staff training days.

In January, the Lang Thang Group stated Pho Lang Thang had outgrown the eatery had outgrown the original Findlay Market spot it started operating out of in 2010.

The new location is nearly three times bigger than that original space and includes a brand new kitchen, along with a room dedicated to making Pho’s famous soup broth. The new Pho Lang Thang sits just outside of the actual market.

A small portion of the new location will be dedicated to quick-serve carryout for lunch and dinner patrons as well, the partners stated in a press release.

The new Pho Lang Thang will feature all of the original’s menu favorites, plus an array of new items that will rotate in and out of its menu during the first few weeks of service. The space also includes a new full bar featuring a cocktail menu tailored to pair with the food menu. The bar will begin serving those cocktails, along with select wines and 10 draft beers and an extensive bottle and can selection once the state of Ohio transfers Pho Lang Thang’s liquor license from the eateries original location to the new place.

The Lang Thang Group's operating partners plan to keep Pho Lang Thang open seven-days-a-week after kitchen staff is fully trained and a dinner menu is fully developed.
