SYMMES TOWNSHIP, OHIO — CityBird, the Over-the-Rhine fast food chicken tender joint that opened in February 2018 is ready to spread its wings and fly*.
Eatery owners, the Thunderdome Restaurant Group will celebrate the grand opening of CityBird's second location at Harper's Point in Symmes Township at 10:30 a.m. Monday by giving the first 50 visitors a free meal. The group will also donate a portion of the day's sales to NEST Community Learning Center, a Loveland-based nonprofit dedicated to helping address academic and non-academic barriers that perpetuate the cycle of generational poverty.
The new CityBird is located at 11309 Montgomery Rd., Suite D.
Thunderdome opened its first CityBird as a carry-out-only eatery on Feb. 10, 2018 at 1344 Vine St. in Over-the-Rhine. That CityBird was the offspring of the Eagle, which Thunderdome opened on Vine Street in 2013.
Unlike the original CityBird, the Harper’s Point restaurant will feature a sit-down dining room as well as carry out. It will also be open daily from 10:30 a.m.-10 p.m. For more information visit www.citybirdotr.com.
(*And yes, after a comprehensive search of the Internet, we can confirm chickens can fly.)
