CINCINNATI – Get ready to make first contact with a Queen City-made movie about extraterrestrials.
Sony Pictures Entertainment released its first trailer for "UFO" on Tuesday.
The movie, which filmed in Greater Cincinnati during the fall of 2016, stars actors Gillian Anderson of "X-Files" fame, Ella Purnell and Tony Award-winner Alex Sharp.
Ryan Eslinger directed the movie, which is also set in the region.

Sharp plays Derek, a brilliant college student obsessed with unidentified flying object sightings. He finds himself embroiled in a covert FBI investigation when he begins looking into reports of UFOs at a nearby airport. Anderson plays his math professor and Purnell his girlfriend.
The two-minute trailer features multiple scenes at the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport, along with a nighttime shot from a park overlook.
"UFO" is being released directly to DVD and digital streaming on Sept. 4.
