Maize, a new Venezuelan restaurant in Over-the-Rhine, opening Saturday

CINCINNATI – The world cuisine scene in Over-the-Rhine continues to grow.

Maize, a Venezuelan eatery, announced on Instagram that it is hosting a grand opening at 5 p.m. Saturday. The new restaurant is located at 1438 Race St.

Maize promises a menu of authentic Latin American dishes such as arepas (imagine a thin biscuit made of ground maize dough) and empanadas, as well as vegan and vegetarian food options.

The restaurant also offers a full-service drink menu and outdoor seating and accepts reservations. 

Maize's business hours are 5-10 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday; 5 p.m.-midnight Thursday; and 5 p.m.-1:30 a.m. Friday and Saturday. The eatery is closed on Sunday and Monday.
