MASON, Ohio — Prost!
A new restaurant featuring local craft beers on tap and pub food will debut at Kings Island when the amusement park opens for its 2019 season on April 20.
"In 2018 we opened Coney Bar B Que, featuring ribs, pulled pork, rotisserie chicken and other barbecue favorites,” said James Major, Kings Island's executive chef. "This season, with the addition of Miami River Brewhouse, we’re continuing to build on a dining experience that guests will talk about long after their visit to Kings Island.”
The brewhouse menu will include appetizers such as pull-apart bread served with cheddar, garlic butter, scallions with beer mustard and Sri-Rancha and a giant Bavarian pretzel that comes with bacon jam and beer cheese for dipping.
On the more filling side of the menu, the new restaurant will feature Texas Bahn Mi made with smoked beef, cucumber, carrot, cilantro with Sri-Mayo served on French bread; the London’s Bridge, which is fried cod, cheese and tartar sauce served with super slaw; a double-patty big bacon burger covered with Havarti cheese, candied onion, bacon jam and sliced bacon; and the vegan Impossible Burger, served with herb mustard, cucumber, lettuce, tomato and onion.
Miami River Brewhouse will be located directly across from the Mystic Timbers rollercoaster. The restaurant will be included in the park's dining plans.
People can also look forward to seeing a re-imagined International Street, riding the brand new Kings Mills Antique Autos and celebrating the 40th anniversary of The Beast wooden roller coaster when Kings Island opens.
