MASON, Ohio — Those who purchased a season pass to Kings Island this year -- only to find the coronavirus has meant a delayed opening for the theme park -- fear not.
Park officials announced Tuesday that 2020 season passes and purchased add-ons will be valid for the remainder of this year, when the park is able to re-open, and those benefits will extend through the 2021 season, as well.
For season pass-holders using the park's Easy Pay program to finance the purchase of their passes, those monthly payments were suspended April 8 and will remain suspended until the park re-opens.
"As we face these unprecedented circumstances, I want to thank you for your patience and support of Kings Island," said the park's vice president and general manager, Mike Koontz, in a statement Tuesday. "We continue to monitor and follow local and national health directives while preparing to open our park as it is safe to do so."
Koontz said visitors who have already purchased single-day tickets can direct their inquiries here.
