CINCINNATI – One local sandwich shop chain has taken it upon itself to further whet the appetite of Cincinnati Bengals fans hungry to see what the team will do with new head coach Zac Taylor at the helm.
On Thursday, Izzy's unveiled the "Zac Attack," a new double-decker sandwich made with corned beef, Swiss cheese and special sauce on rye toast. The sandwich honors Taylor, whom the Bengals officially named the team's new head coach on Monday.
Taylor replaces Marvin Lewis, who the team let go on Dec. 31 after 16 seasons. Taylor was the quarterback coach for the Los Angeles Rams before landing his new job in Cincinnati. He also held the same coaching job with the University of Cincinnati Bearcats before that.
Izzy's operates several delis in the region. For more information and deli locations visit www.izzys.com.
