CINCINNATI — The Queen City takes center stage in the soon-to-be-released drama "The Public."

Director, star and producer Emilio Estevez shot "The Public" Downtown in 2016. Estevez plays Cincinnati librarian Stuart Goodson in the movie, which tells the story of a group of homeless people who take shelter in the library during a brutal winter cold snap.
Actors Christian Slater, Alec Baldwin, Jeffrey Wright, Jena Malone, Michael Keith Williams, Che "Rhymefest" Smith," Taylor Schilling and Gabrielle Union also star in the film.
Film Cincinnati will host a local premiere screening of "The Public" at 7 p.m. March 29 inside the Taft Theatre, located at 317 E. Fifth St., Downtown.
General admission tickets for the screening cost $40. VIP tickets, which include preferred seating and a movie poster, cost $100.
Estevez and Smith will take part in a question-and-answer session following the screening.
