CINCINNATI – Skate straight into the holiday season when the O'Keeffe's Company Ice Rink returns to Fountain Square the last weekend of October.

The rink will open Saturday, Oct. 27 with two special events and free skate rentals with each $6 paid admission all weekend. The rink typically charges $4 to rent skates.

The first event will be a Halloween-themed "Watch it, Wear it: Villains are People Too" costume party from noon-3 p.m. People are invited to dress in costume and skate with iconic Disney villains as Disney's 2015 movie "The Descendants" plays on Fountain Square's giant LED screen.

The fun will continue from 7-11 p.m. Saturday evening with an "Opening Night Dance Party." The dancing party will feature music, a full-service concessions tent with hot and cold snacks and alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for sale.

Then from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 28, the rink will host a Cincinnati Bengals watch party. The team will play the Tampa Bay Buccaneers starting at 1 p.m. inside Paul Brown Stadium that day.

The ice rink will then remain open through Presidents' Day, Monday, Feb. 18, 2019.

The rink's hours of operations will vary throughout the holiday season and after. For a current list of hours, special events and other information visit myfountainsquare.com.
