UNION, KENTUCKY — The wait is finally over.
On Saturday, a new Chipotle Mexican Grill opening in Union, Kentucky will debut the first Chipotlane in Greater Cincinnati.
Chipotle will also give the first 50 customers a free t-shirt when the restaurant opensat 9039 US-42 Suite A in Union, Kentucky.
What is a Chipotlane, you ask? It’s Chipotle's new drive-thru pickup lane that allows customers to get their burrito fix without leaving their cars. Chipotle announced in February its plan to add Chipotlanes to several locations nationwide.
Chipotlanes though are not a traditional drive-thru. They lack a menu or speaker for drivers to place orders. Instead, people will have to order online or through Chipotle's smartphone app before pulling into a Chipotlane for pick up.
Normal hours of operation for the Union store will be from 10:45 a.m. to 10 p.m., seven days per week.
