CINCINNATI — The Fiona bobblehead offered last year by the Cincinnati Reds and Cincinnati Zoo was one of the most popular theme ticket packages offered by the Reds, a Cincinnati Zoo spokesperson said.
The two organizations hope to attract fans to the ballpark once again with the Sam the Bald Eagle bobblehead at the June 18 game against the Houston Astros. The bobblehead is only available through the Cincinnati Zoo ticket package available for purchase now.
Fans who attend the game will also see Sam soar into Great American Ball Park during the national anthem. The 20-year-old rescued bald eagle has flown to the pitcher’s mound at the ballpark more than 50 times, according to zoo officials.
Sam will also fly from the TriHealth Riverboat Deck at Reds games on May 31, June 14, June 28 and July 3.
Other theme ticket packages offered by the Reds this season include a “Game of Thrones” ticket package on May 15, a “Peanuts” ticket package on May 19 and the “Star Wars” ticket package on May 31.
