After a tumultuous year, Toys for Tots is still planning on providing some holiday cheer to those in need, but they need your help to do so.
In 2019, Toys for Tots provided about 82,000 gifts which were given to local charities, like the Salvation Army, and churches, before the gifts made their way to about 4,000 local children.
While officials know this year is anything but normal, they want to provide a sense of normalcy to children who might have had a tough year.
"As far as Toys for Tots, that's kind of our biggest goal," Sgt. Jonathon Alamia with Toys for Tots said. "Trying to be sure that everything this year that's taken away from them, trying to make sure we can get back to where they can still have this holiday season."
People can still register with the program on their website, and you can learn more about Toys for Tots and how to donate by clicking here.
