COLUMBUS, Ohio — Guy Fieri's hometown festival "Flavortown" has been canceled due to "unforeseen circumstances," according to a report.
ABC affiliate WBNS reported that a spokesperson released a statement canceling the two-day festival in Columbus. The festival was set to run June 1-2.
The festival was set to have Grammy Award-winning rock band Greta Van Fleet and country singer Kane Brown headline at The Lawn at CAS. Bret Michaels, LoCash and Niko Moon were also on the lineup, with more acts expected to be announced.
Other than music, the festival was also supposed to focus on what Fieri is best known for: food.
Flavortown Fest's website, which now has no informaiton in it, previously said there would be cook-offs and chef demos from celebrity chefs. Festivalgoers would also get to enjoy foods from some of Fieri's favorite spots on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives.
The festival was also supposed to showcase classic cars Fieri loves, a stage hosting comedy battles, interactive art demos and veteran-based programming.
The festival was selling two-day general admission tickets starting at $155 and VIP at $465. Refunds are being issued to those who purchased them, WBNS reported.
Proceeds from tickets sold for the festival were set to benefit local charities, including Ronald McDonald House Charities of Ohio, Mid-Ohio Food Collective and the National Veterans Memorial and Museum. WBNS reported that organizers said Flavortown Fest will still make a $10,000 donation to the three charity partners.
