It's been less than three months sine "Jeopardy!" host Alex Trebek announced he had stage 4 pancreatic cancer, but he now says his chemotherapy is working.

Speaking exclusively to People Magazine , Trebek said that doctors told him some of the tumors have already shrunk by more than 50 percent.

"It's kind of mind-boggling," Trebek told the magazine. "The doctors said they hadn't seen this kind of positive result in their memory."

Doctors also said that he's near remission, according to Trebek, despite the cancer having only a 9 percent survival rate.

In an interview a few weeks after the announcement, Trebek said he was feeling good in a video on the last day of taping for Jeopardy's 35th season.

"I wanted once again to thank you for your continuing messages of encouragement and support," Trebek said at the time. "Particularly the many cards I've received from young people. I'm touched beyond words."
