NORWOOD, Ohio -- Oscar-nominated actor and author Jesse Eisenberg was in Greater Cincinnati on Thursday for a book-signing event. And the Queen City seems to have made a good impression on him.

Eisenberg has a new book, "Bream Gives Me Hiccups," with chapter-opening illustrations by cartoonist Jean Jullien. He hosted a question-and-answer session and signed copies at Joseph-Beth Booksellers in Rookwood Pavilion.

"I am continuously amazed because I am from New York, and we live in a real bubble there, and we don't realize there are wonderful things outside of New York. So to come to a place like this and see more art and interesting things to do per capita than anywhere else I have been is incredible," he said.

He also stopped into the Cincinnati Art Museum in Walnut Hills while he was in town:

Eisenberg said he lives in Bloomington, Indiana with his girlfriend for family reasons. He also said he volunteers at a women's shelter there.

As a writer, Eisenberg has been a contributor to The New Yorker for years. And in his acting career, he's best known for portraying Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg in "The Social Network." He's also playing iconic, bald supervillain Lex Luthor in the upcoming "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice."
