CINCINNATI -- It's a well-known fact that television reached its peak on Nickelodeon in the early 1990s.
Now, those of us lucky enough to live in Cincinnati (or 13 other select cities) can relive that magical time, for one night, as "Double Dare" hits the road as a live show.
Original host Marc Summers and sidekick Robin Russo will bring "Double Dare Live" to the Taft Theatre on Nov. 1.
The show will feature two teams of selected audience members competing to win prizes by answering trivia questions, competing in messy physical challenges and taking on the infamous obstacle course.
"Double Dare" aired on Nickelodeon from 1986-93, as those of us whose parents paid for cable TV already know. It also came back briefly in 2000. The live tour comes on the heels of the recent "Double Dare" reboot, which also includes commentary from Summers.
