ERLANGER, Ky. — One of the country's largest addiction treatment facilities opened Monday on Madison Pike. Transitions offers 180 beds total for patients going through the recovery process, including a 30-bed wing set aside specifically for pregnant women battling substance abuse disorders.

"We want mom and baby to stay together and mom to get sober and live a life of recovery and stop the cycle," clinical nursing supervisor Danielle Mathieu said.

The treatment center serves all men and women ages 18 and up. Each person will be assessed to determine their needed level of care and recommended treatment. Each clinical assessment can take as long as two hours.

"We'll be able to provide treatment on demand for people in Northern Kentucky, so if you call at 11 today, you're going to come in right away -- no more wait list," CEO Jim Beiting said.

Transitions will begin admitting patients Wednesday morning at 8 a.m. Anyone seeking more information should call 859-491-4435
