CINCINNATI — Ice cream lovers, rejoice!

Putz’s Creamy Whip, the West Side stand serving sweet cones since 1938, will reopen May 11, owners announced on Facebook.

“We have been working hard to implement new practices to keep everyone safe,” creamy whip owners wrote Tuesday. “We ask that you also help us by practicing social distancing while waiting to order."

Picnic tables will not be available, but you’ll still be able to order your favorites at the window. Some of the social distancing changes may lead to longer wait times.

Putz’s originally postponed its March 30 opening day due to coronavirus-related closures across Ohio.
