October is here, and that means all sorts of ghoulish creatures will be creeping and crawling around.

But before kids head out trick-or-treating, we want to see their most spooktacular monsters in the WCPO Monster Mashup Contest. WCPO cartoonist Kevin Necessary will turn one lucky creature creation into a downloadable paper figure toy.

To enter, children ages 5-12 can submit drawings of their original monster creations. We want to know details about your monster, too! Who are they? What do they like? And why are they the craziest creature of them all?

We'll feature kids' creatures in a photo gallery as it gets closer to Halloween, and we'll select two runners-up and one grand prize winner. The two runners-up will get a print of their creatures redrawn by WCPO's cartoonist. The grand prize winner will receive a print of their creature and have it turned into a downloadable paper toy.

In addition, Necessary will create and publish downloadable paper toy versions of other monsters throughout October. Click here to make your own Loveland Frog Man.

The contest ends Oct. 14, so get your pencils, crayons and markers out and submit your creature creations below to enter. It's time to make some monsters!
