CINCINNATI — Reds facilities are open for individual workouts for players who live in Cincinnati, according to Rob Butcher, Reds vice president of Media Relations.

He wanted to clarify that this should not be portrayed as ‘spring training.’

Butcher said that as restrictions in Ohio are lifted by Gov. Mike DeWine, the team is letting individual players lift weights and throw on their own.

He used Reds pitcher Luis Castillo as an example of a player who has a home in Cincinnati and has been here since spring training closed.
