CINCINNATI – Princeton 2018 wing Darius Bazley verbally committed to play basketball at Ohio State on Saturday, he told WCPO.com.
"Ohio State is such a great place," Bazley told WCPO.com. "You can't just like one thing. Ohio State is its own little city. I love it there."
Bazley, a 6-foot-8 standout who is ranked the state’s No. 1 player in the 2018 class by ESPN.com, also had offers from Purdue, Saint Louis, Florida and Toledo. He’s had interest from West Virginia, Xavier, Butler and Dayton.
Bazley transferred to Princeton from Finneytown in late July. Bazley, a left-handed shooter, averaged 15.8 points, 12.4 rebounds, 3.8 assists, 2.4 blocks and 1.5 steals last season.

Ohio State offered Bazley June 20 as he visited the campus that day.
Bazley said he considered committing earlier than today but he felt today was the right time.
"I'm glad I did it now so I can focus on being the best version of me so that when I get to Ohio State my teammates get the best of me," Bazley said.
Versailles 2018 small forward Justin Ahrens also announced his commitment to Ohio State on Saturday. Ahrens is rated the state's No. 4 player by 247Sports.
