It's fair to say that "R.I.P. Harambe" is now a thing.
The 17-year-old deceased gorilla's face has been photoshopped on just about everything -- sharing memorial posts with Prince and David Bowie, even.
But he reached a new height of celebrity Thursday.
At the PGA Championship tournament in Springfield, New Jersey, spectators yelled "Rest in peace, Harambe!" after a putt by Jordan Spieth. (the putt didn't go in, by the way.)

No, there was virtually no connection between the silverback and the putt -- or tournament, or any of the golfers.
This random guy keeps yelling Harambe after every player's swing at the PGA Championship
