There's now one less big coaching job for Xavier fans to worry about.
Indiana University announced Saturday it was hiring Dayton head coach Archie Miller, who's been one of the top mid-major coaching prospects for several years.

Xavier head coach Chris Mack had been rumored as a possible replacement for Indiana's Tom Crean after Crean was dismissed last Thursday. Indiana-bred Steve Alford was considered a front-runner.
Miller guided Dayton to a school-record NCAA tournament for the past four seasons, reaching the Elite Eight in 2014.
More from SBNation.com:
He has a penchant for coaching good offenses. His Dayton teams have regularly slotted near the top of the country in adjusted offensive efficiency. But in the last few years, his defenses have sometimes been even better. He’s been a rumored candidate in the past for then-vacant jobs at NC State, Pitt, and Florida.
Miller had been with the Flyers since 2011. He is Arizona coach Sean Miller's brother.
A new era of Indiana Basketball begins now.
