COLUMBIA, Ky. -- A body found in Clark County could be related to a Florence couple who have been missing since early July, Kentucky State Police said.

The body was found in some tall grass off of I-64 at about 12:30 p.m. Friday, WTVQ reported.

Trooper Billy Gregory with Kentucky State Police Post 15 told WCPO that dental testing on the body would begin Monday, and then a forensic pathologist would examine the body. DNA testing was also possible.

Robert K. Jones, 38, and Crystal J. Warner, 35, were last seen in Springfield, Kentucky on July 3.

"We're hoping [it's related]," Gregory said. "It would get us one step closer to complete resolution."

Police have already made an arrest in the disappearance of Jones and Warner. Craig Pennington of Springfield was charged with murder in the case July 8.

Gregory said officials hoped to have an ID for the discovered body early in the week. If DNA testing is required, it could take several weeks.

Jones and Warner were last seen driving a gray 2012 Volkswagen with Kentucky license plate 9485-FS. Cell phone records indicate they were traveling on I-64 near Frankfort.

Jones is 6 feet 1 inch and about 200 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes. Warner is 5 feet 2 inches and about 130 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.
