Did LeBron James just try to posterize President Trump?

The 32-year-old NBA icon slammed Trump in a tweet on Saturday morning, calling him a "bum" and saying he ruined the once time-honored tradition of athletes visiting the White House after winning a championship.

"U bum," James wrote, referring to Trump. "Going to White House was a great honor until you showed up!"

In the tweet, James also referenced an ongoing feud between Trump and James's NBA rival Stephen Curry.

Curry, a star player for the reigning NBA-champion Golden State Warriors, told ESPN Friday that he was considering skipping the team's scheduled visit to the White House.

"You don't want to rush to a decision on, kind of, understanding the magnitude of what this means," Curry told ESPN, referring to the White House visit. "We have an opportunity to send a statement that hopefully encourages unity and encourages us to just appreciate what it means to be American and stand for something."

On Saturday morning, Trump responded to Curry's comments by publicly revoking his invitation to the White House in a tweet.

"Stephen Curry is hesitating, therefore invitation is withdrawn!" Trump wrote.

James posted his tweet about two hours after Trump's was posted.

Meanwhile, Trump has yet to respond to James's comments and Curry has yet to respond to the president's.
