HAMILTON TWP., Ohio – A naked, drug-fueled attack on his neighbors – including attempted rape – got a 17-year-old committed to a young offenders' lockup Monday.
Screaming that he wanted to have sex with a woman, the naked teen tried to force his way into two homes in the 10000 block of Murdock-Goshen Road on May 9 before he succeeded in breaking into one, according to police.
Officers said the homeowner shot the teen in the abdomen as he tried to rape his wife. The woman was also injured in the shooting. The teen also attacked a police officer who tried to give him first aid.
The teen had cocaine, amphetamines, and tetrahydrocannabinol in his system, according to toxicology reports.
Warren County Juvenile Court Judge Joe Kirby sentenced the teen to two to four years in the Ohio Department of Youth Services. The charges against the teen included attempted rape, assault on a police officer, aggravated burglary, attempted aggravated burglary, and public indecency. He must participate in sex offender treatment and drug and alcohol programs while incarcerated. He was also ordered to have no contact with the victims.
