DEERFIELD TOWNSHIP, Ohio — The Warren County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death of a 44-year-old Deerfield Twp. woman found in a grassy area near where she lived, one day after she had been reported missing, the Journal-News reported late Friday.
A K-9 unit discovered Rhonda Moore about 1:45 p.m. Friday near the property line of the Sterling Lakes apartment complex, in the 5700 block of Placid Lakes Drive, according to a sheriff’s office statement released late Friday night.
Sheriff’s detectives were conducting a missing persons investigation concerning Moore and had obtained a search warrant for her residence not long before the K-9 unit found the body, according to the Journal-News.
The statement does not identify who contacted the sheriff’s office on Thursday to reported the woman missing.
