PARK HILLS, Ky. -- Deputies confirm that a pedestrian died after being struck by a driver early Saturday morning in Park Hills, Kentucky.
The crash happened at around 7:22 a.m. in the 1600 block of Dixie Highway near Covington Catholic High School, police said.

Police identified the victim as Roger Lee Stephenson, 68, of Park Hills. He may have been running to a nearby bus stop, officials said earlier.
In a press release, the mayor and city council of Park Hills extended their condolences to Stephenson's family.
The scene of the crash was near Covington Catholic High School. Dixie Highway was closed Saturday morning for crash cleanup.
Officials said the driver remained on the scene until police arrived and is cooperating fully with the investigation. The incident was still under investigation by Kenton and Park Hills police Saturday night
Earlier this week, a child was hit by a driver in a West Price Hill crosswalk. A cyclist was struck and killed by a driver who police say was under the influence.
