FORT WRIGHT, Ky. -- A 24-year-old woman is dead after a crash in Fort Wright Tuesday night.

Kenton County Police said the three-car crash happened around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday when Kelcie Lee, of Fort Wright, tried to turn onto southbound Madison Pike from Lakeview Drive.

Police said Lee crossed in front of a GMC Sierra, operated by David Wickline, traveling northbound on Madison Pike. Wickline, 55, struck Lee's vehicle. Investigators said Lee's Ford Focus "rotated and traveled into the southbound lanes...them struck a Chevrolet Cruze" driven by 27-year-old Dion Piceno. Piceno was traveling with two passengers.

Three other motorists were injured in the crash -- Wickline, of Fort Wright; Piceno, of Dayton, Kentucky; and one of Piceno's passengers.

Lee was pronounced dead on the scene, Kenton County police said.

The crash shut down Madison Pike between Kyles Lane and Highland Avenue for several hours.

The county's traffic unit is investigating the crash; anyone with information is asked to call Sgt. Chris Haddle at 859-392-1943.
